本片改编自同名漫画，讲述了女大学生木之下茜（山下美月 饰）原本和时任男友古川拓马共同游玩网络游戏《Forest Of Savior》（简称FOS），但是双方的恋情随着拓马劈腿喜欢上游戏女网友正式告吹。被分手失恋后的茜对发展恋爱关系产生阴影，却意外在FOS线下活动期间遇见并认出同个游戏公会的玩家兼高中生山田秋斗（作间龙斗 饰），双方由此从网絡友谊关系逐渐发展成恋情。

A modern couple – vegan, ethical, millennial, neurotic – much research and negotiation leads to the arrival of Milly, a rescue from the Dominican Republic. This sets off a riotous chain of new challenges on how to best deal with this addition to the household. As Eric contends with a sinister dog-training programme, his introspection spills out onto his film work, with poor Allie and Milly taken along for the ride. The couple each pursue their own deepheld individual questions surrounding trust, purpose and roots, while wrestling with the idea of what it means to be a modern family.
